I really liked this author's writing. She drew me into a world of cooking that reminded me of the cooking scenes described in Marlena de Blasi's books starting with A Thousand Days in Venice. I personally felt like the passion was a little overdone, I could have done with less description which became repetitive and lessened the flow of the book (thus four stars instead of five). I loved that Lucy was older and that there was still passion in her relationships as well as just life. My favorite quote: "The love I had for Zhang life plenty of room to love myself, too."Product details

The author had your mouth watering you could smell the food. And I fell in love with the people. You get lost in her stories.

Third great book of a wonderful author. Glad to know her in real life but would write the same comments if I didn't.
Finding yourself again, removing the shackles of the past.... And finding love, with a sexy God?! Two thumbs up! Awesome and addictive read!
This story was oh so good. Tantalizing ingredients that when put together made the perfect meal or shall I say story. The characters perfectly complimented each other. The intensity of the love between Lucy and Zhang was electrifying. Didn't want the book to end!
The author, Candice Butler, delivers a delicious story in The Kitchen God's Girlfriend! It is a delicacy in its own right! The way in which she tantalizes the reader with both food and sex is amazing. The whole novel is a sensual dance between the Kitchen God and the journalist who is seduced to become his girlfriend. The author intrigues the reader with the exotic recipes and combinations of herbs, spices and sauces, while intertwining the passionate, sexual escapades of the lovers. Every juicy detail of their encounters, sexual tension and risk taking is a delicate morsel for the erotic romance reader's palate!
